DDC, Starcare sign USD18m hospital deal in Duqm


(MENAFN) Oman's Duqm Development Company (DDC) and Starcare Hospital have signed an agreement for the construction of a hospital at Duqm, Times of Oman reported



The project, at an estimated cost of USD18.1 million, will provide job opportunities for Omanis



The project's first phase will consist of a 30-35 bed inpatient facility at a cost between USD9 million and 10.3 million. In the second phase, 75 beds will be added to the hospital at between USD18.1 million and 20.7 million



Chairman of the Starcare group said: "Being selected as the preferred healthcare provider in the upcoming Duqm community is exciting for Starcare team. In Duqm, we plan to focus on the occupational health and preventive health needs of the community, going beyond the conventional hospital services and emergency care.
