(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Hassan Al-Shemmeri, referred the case filed by former Qatari prime minister Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad Al Thani and several Qatari military officers to the Chief Justice in order to determine another sector of the judiciary to handle the case. The case was filed against a local news channel and columnist Fuad Al-Hashim for offending the State of Qatar, its personalities and employees. In Monday's session, the lawyer for the plaintiffs pleaded for the civil rights of his clients and asked the court to transfer the case to another section; while waiting for the verdict on a similar case being handled by another section
