Arab FMs Approve Agenda of Kuwait Summit


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Sunday the 141st session of the Arab League Council has approved the agenda of the 25th Arab Summit, due in Kuwait on March 25-26. Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, who led Kuwait delegation to the just-ended foreign minister-level meeting, said the preparatory meeting was meant to add the final touches to the agenda of the summit, reported the kuwaiti news agency KUNA.



He said, in a statement to KUNA before leaving for home, that he held meetings with a number of his Arab peers to consult on a range of bilateral and regional issues, particularly those relating to the agenda of the summi



"We have discussed the latest developments on the Arab arena as well as the formation of ministerial committees affiliated to the Arab League Council," he pointed out "In the coming few days Kuwait will be hosting meetings of senior officials, foreign ministers, and ministers of economy and finance ahead of the summit," Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled reveale



He voiced hope that the League will be able to play its role in addressing all issues of common concern for the Arab nation and serve the interests of Arab citizen



He welcomed the Arab leaders and ministers who will take part in the upcoming summit, the first such summit to be held in Kuwait
