Oman's government revenue drops 7.9 percent


(MENAFN) Oman's National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) said that the country's government revenues dropped 7.9 percent in January, Times of Oman reported



The NCSI said that government revenues went from USD2.73 billion in January 2013 down to USD2.52 billion in January last



The drop was the result of a 10.4 percent decrease in the Sultanate's net oil revenues which came at USD2.15 billion by the end of January. The NCSI said



Gas revenues, however, surged to USD273.3 million, increasing 14.1 percent from USD239.7million by the end of January 2013
