UAE's RTA wins USD27 m contract


(MENAFN) UAE's Board of Directors of the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has won a contract to construct and collector internal roads at Al Barsha South 1 and Al Barsha South 2, according to the Emirates 24/7



The construction project is expected to cost about USD27.21 million, and will be a part of a five-year plan on Phase

endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai



Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, said: "Constructing internal roads at Al Barsha stems from the commitment of the RTA to improve the infrastructure of roads, lighting, and storm water drainage at residential areas to meet the requirements of urban and demographic expansion in the emirate and cater to the happiness and welfare of people.



He added: "Over the past 3 years, the RTA constructed more than 500 km-long internal roads in various residential communities across the Emirate.
