Kuwait Airways denies firing at plane


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Airways denied on Friday reports of fire shots at targeting one of its planes that was coming from Doha this evening



Reports on media and social media network regarding a shooting at Airbus A320, flight 618, bound from Doha to Kuwait are inaccurate, the airline said in a press statement to KUNA



The statement added that the plane arrived at 6:48 p.m. local time in Kuwait International airport and all 81 passengers were safe



The statement noted that "the pilot told the control tower about what appeared to be shooting at a considerable distance from the plane toward the sky, but not on the plane," adding that "the pilot followed procedures in such circumstances and aviation regulations through informing aviation authorities to take the necessary action.
