(MENAFN- Arab Times) Officers from General Department for Criminal Evidences arrested 30 Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates from a flat in Salmiya area where they were caught gambling. According to a security source, the officers raided the apartment of a Kuwaiti citizen after receiving information that the flat was being used for gambling and celebratory activities during special occasions
He revealed that the officers led by the Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadi confiscated several items used for gambling from the flat. The arrested individuals included a Kuwaiti doctor, a famous sports commentator and Arab and European expatriates. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them
