Gulf tourism market logs strong growth in Jan.


(MENAFN) The tourism market in the Gulf posted strong growth last month, registering a robust start for the sector in the region, Arabian Business reported.



Hotels in Doha posted a 17.1 percent increase in occupancy to hit 75.1 percent last month, while occupancy rate in Abu Dhabi increased 12.8 percent to 73.4 percent



Abu Dhabi's revenue per available room (RevPAR) surged 15.6 percent to USD112.97 last month



Figures by STR Global show that Dubai was the only market to post a double-digit average daily rate (ADR) growth in the MENA region as it rose 12.8 percent to USD308.64
