(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Qatar Olympic Academy will organize Grassroots Coaching Training Course from 23 to 24 February 2014 at the QOC headquarters. The theoretical and practical lectures of the training course will be delivered by a number of professional coaches who are holders of training certificates in grassroots coaching. The course aims to prepare and qualify new coaches and develop the skills of clubs coaches as the course will focus lights on selecting the new players as well as movement development of young athletes. The practical lectures will be held at Al Arabi Sports Clubs where the trainees will be nominated to work as assistant coaches for grassroots players in basketball, volleyball, handball and Athletics. Meanwhile, the Information Technology In Sport Training Course was concluded at the QOC Headquarters on Tuesday. The training course was organized by the Qatar Olympic Academy in collaboration with the International Association of Computer Science in Sport (IACSS). The invited participants in the course were heads of sports federations, sports clubs presidents and Directors of departments at the QOC, in addition to secretaries General, executives directors, board members of sports federations, Sports clubs, Qatar Women Sport Committee and Aspire Academy. Khalid Hamad Al Mohannadi, the QOC Assistant Secretary General For Technical Support handed over the certificates to the participants. On the third day, Professor Martin Lames shed lights on computer science in sports as a scientific discipline where he highlighted the performance analysis in different sports including beach volleyball
