(MENAFN -Arab News) Carlos Sports Wear flirted with a second perfect 28 but had to settle for 27 and the Team of the Week award during the sixth session in the OFBC 4 1 Friday Afternoon League Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here

Carlos shut out D’ Luf’s Strikers 20-0 but was denied the coveted 28 by league leader RTJ Transient House which garnered the top rank points of 8 after shooting the top total pinfalls of 2,196 in an 8-2 victory over Archie & Co

Though it missed the perfect mark the day still belonged to Carlos, who gathered 2,150 for second best rank points of 7, when Shirley Sagmit won the ladies Bowler of the Week plum to complete a Carlos double

Defending champion Red Dragon, another winner by shutout over Pairs & Spares, ended up tied with RTJ on 26 points while the Youngsters Revival came up with 20 points

The men’s Bowler of the Week award fell in the lap of OFBC Commissioner Joel Nidoy of RTJ who joined Jhune Estefano as the only bowlers thus far with at least two individual awards

In a first sign they are beginning to turn things around after a so-so league start, the Red Dragons drew a solid 585 from Arman Gamboa. Bash Langa came through with 176-137, Cesar Pagtalunan managed 167-151 and Thong Langa 122-161. Aisah Silabay, the lone female bowler to play on the day, made 336
