(MENAFN) The Egyptian Oil Minister said that his country needs to import additional petroleum products at a cost of USD1 billion, The Peninsula Qatar reported
The minister added that Egypt also needs to secure significant natural gas supplies in order to meet its energy needs for the summer
"The intention is to (make available) liquefied natural gas (LNG) and (to get) LNG facilities in operation before the summer..." he said
It is worth mentioning that Egypt has received USD4 billion worth of fuel products from Gulf countries since President Mursi was removed from power
