Kuwait approves USD12 b bids


(MENAFN) Bids worth as much as USD12 billion have been approved by the Kuwaiti government to upgrade two oil refineries, according to Arabian Business



The upgrading of Kuwait's largest refineries is a part of the Gulf state's economic development plan which was delayed on the back of political instability



A consortium led by Japan's JGC Corp won a tender for work worth USD4.82 billion at Mina Ahmadi refinery



Britain's Petrofac and US-based Fluor Corp. cooperate in working on the 270,000 bpd Mina Abdullah refinery in USD3.782 billion and USD3,400 million worth bids respectively
