GCC IPO market weaker in Q4


(MENAFN) The initial public offering (IPO) market in the GCC remained weak during the last quarter of 2013 as proceeds were 28 percent lower than proceeds in corresponding period in 2012, Saudi Gazette reported



The market sentiment in the region's equity market revived despite of the weak IPO performance



Five IPOs were held in the GCC during the quarter, with expectations that the trend to continue this year



The proceeds of the three regional IPOs during the period were 28 percent lower at USD178.8 million and 52 percent lower in average offer value for the same period
