Dubai business licenses up 12 percent in Q4


(MENAFN) Dubai"s Department of Economic Development (DED) has issued 12 percent more business licenses in the fourth quarter of last year, Arabian Business reported



A total of 4,573 licenses were issued by the DED in the October-December period, increasing 12 percent from the same three-month period in 2012



Licensing activity in the tourism sector surged 29 percent, while commercial sector license went up 12 percent and those for the professional sector increased 11 percent



Deputy CEO of business registration and licensing (BRL) sector in DED said: "More and more investors will step forward as Dubai pushes ahead with adding new economic sectors and enhancing competitiveness as well as ease of doing business.
