King Abdullah Project awards USD9.6b projects


(MENAFN) The King Abdullah Project has announced a range of USD9.59 billion contracts for the development of Waad Alshamal City in the kingdom's Northern Border Region, Arabian Business reported



The contracts awarded are for the construction of a number of factories and a 1,000 megawatts power plant, in addition to a main road and several other projects



Also, projects to link the city of Waad Alshamal with the country's ports on the Arabian Gulf and projects for raw material supplies and sanitary water treatment have been awarded



A feasibility study for the construction of a solar panels factory and a training center was also agreed upon
