Kuwait - 48 cars seized


(MENAFN- Arab Times) During a campaign on reckless motorists and violators of traffic laws in and around Wafra, police are said to have impounded 48 vehicles, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Some of the impounded cars were reported stolen by their owners while others were not registered with the General Traffic Department. Most of those who were arrested were caught red-handed making stunts. Meanwhile, the Farwaniya police during a surprise crackdown against residence and labor law violators have arrested 26 expatriates, reports Al- Anba daily. According to the security sources one of those arrested has been staying in the country illegally for the past 26 years. He was reportedly selfemployed - running an illegal overseas calls business. And, traffic police affiliated to the Capital Governorate have issued 48 citations to motorists for committing various kinds of violations, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. The citations were issued at the intersection of Damascus Street with the Second Ring Road
