(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Juvenile Misdemeanor Court presided over by Judge Salman Al- Suweit acquitted four minors of allegedly abducting, assaulting and raping an expatriate minor after finishing Isha prayers at a mosque
According to the case files, the Public Prosecution accused the four friends of allegedly attacking the minor victim in front of the mosque before abducting him to a desert region where they purportedly raped him. The prosecutors presented a medical report and the torn clothes of the victim
The victim's father said the first defendant had previously attacked his son but the latter's brother protected him; however he failed to report at home due to his naivety. He added that his son met his attackers the next day after Isha prayer when they perpetrated the act
The defense counsel Lawyer Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan stressed the contradictions in the testimonies of the witnesses, insisting that it was difficult to accept illogical and unreasonable references. He indicated that the suspects are too young for the allegations against them
