(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Olympic committee (QOC) will organize the 15th edition of the prestigious Islamic Triathlon Championship in March, 2014 at the Sealine Beach.

Event's Organizing Committee began preparing all the managerial and technical arrangements through a cooperation with the competent officials in QASF, QSA and QEC. Mohammad Essa Al Fadala, Head of QOC Activities Section and Tournament Director, said that registration process was opened for all participants from Qatar, GCC and member countries of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF
The ISSF regulation allows the participants from Islamic countries to compete, provided that they must be physically fit and pass the examinations prescribed by the organizing committee, as number of participants will not be less than 20 and not exceeds 50, QOC said on its website. A delegation from ISSF is scheduled to attend the championship and supervise the technical and official affairs during the event.
