Foreign Investments in Algeria Up 110% in 2013


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The inflow of investments in Algeria in 2013 has more than doubled (110%) to US $22.5 Billion (DZD 1,716Bn) compared to DZD 816bn in 2012, an Algeria Press Agency (APA) report said citing official data.



The investments declared during last year "substantially" increased in terms of value, projects and jobs created comparatively with 2012, according to the National Agency of Investment Development (ANDI), the report sai



The number of projects have increased from 7,715 to 8,895, up 15.29% according to the AND



The agency has plans of creating of 149,000 new jobs which were up 63



Investment projects declared with foreign partners have increased almost four times from 17 to 65 projects in 2013, up 282% in comparison with 2012 for an amount of US $4.5bn (DZD331.8 bn



These are anticipated to create 17,082 new jobs, the APA added
