Globe Express Services appoints V4 Advisors to implement Greenhouse Gas Protocol tool

(MENAFNEditorial) Globe Express Services (GES), one of the world's top 100 global logistics providers, has appointed V4 Advisors, an environmental advisory services company with extensive experience in the field of emission reduction, energy and water audit, air pollution, and renewable energy, to significantly reduce its Greenhouse Gas emissions. The Group will conduct its 'Greenhouse Gas Audit' using V4 Advisors' globally recognized online platform based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the most widely used international accounting tool to understand, quantify, and manage greenhouse gas emissions.

V4 Advisors' 'Corporate Greenhouse Gas Online Calculator' will empower GES to measure, manage and report their Greenhouse Gas emissions to define and implement their company's environmental strategy. The pioneering Carbon Management Strategy will focus on the Group's Corporate Social Responsibility along with marketing, environmental commitment, and the financial bottom line. The custom-built platform for GES will be at par with international standards and protocols for reliability and credibility while being specific to regional market requirements for accuracy and relevance.

Mustapha Kawam, Managing Director – Gulf States of GES, said: "We are always on a look out for ways to minimize our carbon footprints and implement ideas for 'Going Green' that will contribute towards the UAE's efforts to become an eco-friendly country. We actively participate in and promote sustainable initiatives that take place in the country. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we have commissioned Greenhouse Gas Audit using V4 Advisors' internationally recognized tool to set our limits for Greenhouse Gas emission and work towards achieving substantial reductions. The tool is easy to implement and deliver results meeting international standards that will give our initiative a definite credibility."

The Greenhouse Gas Audit will be executed in four phases for effective implementation. The process begins with the collection of data on usage of electricity, paper, refrigeration and transportation by the GES which is entered into the online tool for analysis. The Group's employees will attend workshops organized by V4 Advisors to understand audit findings and discuss more efficient ways to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions.
