Australia red meat exports to MENA soar in 2013


(MENAFN) Australia's beef and lamb exports to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region hit a record high with beef exports reaching 61,793 tons in 2013, soaring 89 percent, Saudi Gazette



The country's lamb exports in the year increased 12 percent to 61,250 metric tons, registering another record exports to the region. The total volumes of exported red meat, including mutton and offal items, came at 185,000 metric tons



"With over 45 years in the region Australian meat and livestock companies have built long standing relationships and trust," said the Regional Manager MENA, Meat and Livestock Australia
