Qatar Exchange Index Gains 233.05 Points This Week


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Exchange index gained 233.05 points (2.14%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 11,106.13 points.



Trading value during this week increased by 6.29% to reach QR 3,079,167,147.31 compared to QR 2,896,957,023.9



Trading volume increased by 3.50% to reach 64,106,712 shares, as against 61,940,822 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 5.58%, to reach 29,428 transactions as compared to 31,167 transaction



The Market capitalization rose by 2.09% to reach QR 586,345,965,192.82 as compared to QR 574,369,834,808.21 at the end of previous week. Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 47.14% of the total traded valu



Industries sector accounted for 20.89



Real Estate sector accounted for 11.08% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 9.29



Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 33.2% of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 28.55



The Industries sector accounted for 12.31% and Telecoms sector accounted 8.27



Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week accounted for 36.78% of the total number of transaction



Industries sector accounted for 23.51



The Real Estate sector accounted for 16.08% and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted for 8.96



From the 42 listed companies 28 ended this week higher while 13 fell and one unchange



Qatar National Bank (QNB) led traded value this week accounted for 18.9% of the total traded valu



The Industries Qatar accounted for 8.84% and Masraf Al Rayan accounted for 7.85%
