(MENAFN - Arab News) Sixty Saudi women will begin work at local courts from Sunday, according to the Board of Grievances.
Their duties will be purely administrative in nature, said Bandar Al-Faleh, spokesman for the board.
He said that 48 Saudi women have been employed in nine branches of the board and will carry out administrative work in the Court of Appeal in Riyadh and the Eastern Province, as well as the courts in Makkah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Abh and Buraidah. Twelve women will commence work at a court in Buraidah in two weeks.

Al-Faleh said the women will work in the directorate of complaints where they will receive people and register cases.
Women working at the headquarters are involved in all branches of the court dealing with employees' affairs.
He said their job titles range from document-controllers to clerks, secretaries, case researchers, legal researchers and Shariah researchers.
