Kuwait -9,000 drug pills with peddlers


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Under the guidance of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General AbdulHamid Al- Awadhi and Brigadier Saleh Al-Ghanam, officers from Drug Control General Department recovered 9,000 narcotic pills from two Arab nationals peddling in drugs. A security source said anti-narcotics department was notified about the activities of the suspects, and a team of detectives was formed to bring them to justice. Guarded by search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution, security operatives raided the apartment of the first suspect and found 3,000 pills. He named his accomplice and led officers to his apartment where additional 3,000 pills were recovered from. Security sources said the two suspects confessed trafficking in narcotics and were referred to Drug Prosecution. Meanwhile, two Asians were apprehended in Farwaniya area by security operatives who caught them with bags containing local liquor. The two suspects were referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.
