Saudi Minister of Finance Opens Middle East Economies 'conference


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency)  Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf opened here Tuesday a conference on the economies of the Middle East and the role of the private sector. During the opening ceremony, he delivered a speech focussing on the economic challenges facing the region and the private sector's contribution The conference is organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers and the International Monetary Fund Al-Assaf met here earlier Tuesday with Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Zhu Min, currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia During the meeting, they reviewed the Fund's role in enhancing growth and achieving stability in the global economy, as well as providing technical assistance and support to the Arab countries in transitional phases.(
