(MENAFN) The Saudi government has awarded a USD6 billion contract to Salini Impregilo team to build parts of a metro rail system in the capital Riyadh, reported Arabian Business.
The USD22.5 billion subway project will include 6 lines and carry electric, driverless trains to be the world's largest public transport system.
It's worth mentioning that Salini Impregilo will receive 29 percent of the total USD4.9 billion net income estimated for civil works.
