Etihad Airways, Serbia sign IMU, discuss JatAirways stake


(MENAFN) President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, James Hogan, stated that the UAE-based airline signed an Initial Memorandum of Understanding (IMU) with the Serbian government regarding buying a stake in JatAirways, reported Emirates 24/7. Hogan also said that the anticipated collaboration will integrate the networks of the two airlines as well as help JatAirways build revenue, reduce costs, and achieve efficiencies. JatAirways' Chief Executive Officer stated that the Serbian national carrier was pleased with cooperate with UAE's national carrier Etihad Airways, highlighting the establishment of a direct air traffic between Abu Dhabi and Belgrade by the UAE firm. It is worth noting that Etihad Airways operates a two cabin Airbus A319 plane on the flight between Abu Dhabi and Belgrade. It can carry 106 passengers, with 16 seats in Pearl Business Class and 90 seats in Coral Economy Class.
