Jordan stresses Arab unity to Saudi leader


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Prime Minister Samir Rifai on Sunday conveyed a message from His Majesty King Abdullah to Saudi King Abdullah Ben Abdul Aziz on bilateral ties and challenges facing the Arab world. The written message was presented by Rifai during a meeting with the Saudi King in Riyadh yesterday. In the letter, His Majesty focused on means to enhance joint Arab action, stressing the need to boost ties between the Kingdom and Saudi Arabia at all levels to serve the interests of the two countries. The Monarch expressed hope that the two countries will continue to build on their distinguished ties to achieve further integration and improve the quality of cooperation in various fields. He underscored the importance of continued cooperation in regional causes, particularly during the present critical stage, which requires continuous work to develop unified stances and joint Arab action vis-à-vis regional issues. King Abdullah commended the key role the Saudi king plays in building a strong foundation for the future of bilateral ties in a way that contributes to serving Arab interests. For his part, Saudi monarch conveyed his keenness to boost cooperation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia. At the meeting, the premier discussed with the Saudi king prospects for further cooperation at all levels to serve the interests of the two countries.
